More equipment today has explicit weight targets, and aluminum bushings are the direct answer — same structural function, over 60% lighter than steel or bronze equivalents. But lighter doesn't mean easier to machine: thinner walls are more prone to deformation and tool deflection from cutting force, so we control this through optimized fixturing and cutting parameters to keep thin-wall production stable at volume. Aluminum's good thermal conductivity means the part can double as a minor heat-dissipation path, and anodizing brings corrosion resistance close to stainless steel levels.
