A stepped shaft features multiple diameter sections along its length, serving bearing positioning, gear mounting, and component retention in a single part — the most common "multi-function" shaft in transmission systems. We turn all steps in a single setup to guarantee coaxiality between them, with fillet or relief-groove transitions at each step to reduce stress concentration and prevent fatigue cracking at step junctions over time. Step-to-step coaxiality is held within 0.01mm, with 2-8 step configurations available, suitable for automation transmission systems, reducers, and precision machine tool spindles.
